簡介
旋轉槳式黏度計是克雷布斯式黏度計,是測定非牛頓材料黏度的有用工具。由于大多數油漆都是非牛頓液體,因此本黏度計廣泛應用于油漆工業。
非牛頓材料的黏度,會隨剪切速率的變更而變更,但用旋轉槳式黏度計作測定時,是依靠那在一定剪切速率下所作的測量來進行的。
原理
將槳插入一裝有試樣的容器中,用由向下降落的砝碼所引起的恒定的轉矩使槳葉旋轉,進而計算相關的試樣粘度。
測量方法
通過增加砝碼,使槳葉的轉速調整到正好200rpm為止。讀出這時所加的砝碼總重量,即為測量涂料的粘度值。

The viscosity of non-Newtonian materials depends upon the shear rate applied. The rotating paddle exerts a constant rate of shear by means of falling weight, the size of this weight being relative to the viscosity. The weight is gradually increased until a paddle rotation of 200 RPM is achieved.
This speed is displayed on either an LCD display or indicated via a stroboscope.
